Is your online presence up to date? In today’s world, more and more people are turning to the web as the first step of their homebuying or selling process. It is more important than ever to make an unforgettable first impression with a good online presence.
You should consider checking the following items on an ongoing basis. While you might not realize your information is out-of-date or your links are broken, there are a variety of factors that can cause this to occur. For example, over time, phone numbers change, and with new systems, links can break.
Check Your Website Links. Are you sharing your website URL on your business cards or in your email signature? Whether you use a Long & Foster agent website, or you have your own website, make sure the link is working properly. Be sure to check your website link everywhere you’ve included it.
Add or Update Your Headshot Image. A professional headshot allows prospective clients to know what you look like before they meet you in person. It’s important to have a recent headshot as your appearance likely changes overtime.
Update Your Biography. Share about yourself and your experience in the real estate industry. Include your areas of expertise, such as working with first-time homebuyers or listing luxury properties. You’ll also want to add any new awards, designations or honors you’ve received in the past year.
Update Your Contact Information. Are your email address and phone number correct? If not, you might be missing potential leads and customer inquiries. Make sure your accurate phone number and email address are included on all your online profiles.
For those of you using a Long & Foster-provided agent website, you can update your headshot image, biography, contact information and more through Portal Manager.
