Long & Foster Leaders Honored for Excellence
Three members of Long & Foster’s leadership team were named to the 2017 Swanepoel Power 200. The list recognizes those in the real estate industry who are considered the most powerful and influential. Included in the list are P. Wesley “Wes” Foster, Jr., chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and COO of The Long & Foster Companies, and Cindy Ariosa, senior vice president and regional manager of Long & Foster Real Estate.
This was the fourth time both Detwiler and Foster have been honored on the list, which is now in its fourth year, and the second time Ariosa was named to the list. This year, Foster earned the No. 18 position, Detwiler was named as No. 35 and Ariosa was ranked at No. 187. You can learn more about the Power 200 here.
Inman Names Top Influencers
This was the second major award of 2017 for Ariosa, who also was named as one of the industry’s most influential leaders for 2017 by Inman. The Inman Influencer List recognizes numerous professionals who shape, change and influence the industry, including executives, entrepreneurs, marketers, advocates, tech startup founders, hackers and more. Fonville Morisey Recognized for Success
Fonville Morisey, a Long & Foster company in the Triangle, North Carolina, area, was named as one of the Triangle Business Journal’s inaugural Family Business Award winners. The publication chose 19 local companies to receive the award, which was created to highlight the region’s strong family business sector. The award recognized Fonville Morisey for its excellence, innovation, ethics, philanthropy and contributions to the region. Read more about the honor on the Newsroom.
Fonville Morisey also received the Spirit to Involve annual award from Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate. This award is given to organizations with the most participation and creativity. Fonville Morisey has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure for seven years, raising more than $120,000 in that time.
Office 365 Email Coming to Long & Foster
Starting late last year, Long & Foster began upgrading our current Microsoft Outlook 2010 email system to Office 365 email, also known as Outlook Exchange Online. Office 365 email offers more expansive storage and enhanced security functions that better ensure ongoing business operations and email continuity.
Agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate are among the first to transition to the new system. The Northern Virginia and West Virginia region has already been upgraded to Office 365 email, and D.C. and Montgomery County are in progress. Long & Foster will continue to upgrade our agents’ email to Office 365 on a region-by-region basis, and you’ll be notified directly when it’s your turn for the upgrade. Long & Foster Partners with Rental Beast
As part of our continued efforts to help our agents build their real estate business, Long & Foster partnered with Rental Beast, a real estate technology company specializing in the rental market. Through Rental Beast, Long & Foster agents will get rental leads and access to off-MLS rental listing inventory. The Rental Beast system is designed to provide significant rental growth opportunities for agents at any experience level.
