October kicks off business planning season for real estate agents and the Success Path will be featuring speakers and classes focused on business planning all through the month of October. As you begin to think about your business plan for 2023, keep these five items in mind.
Assess Your Current Situation. Where are you now? How do you feel about your life and your business as they sit right now? What is working and what isn’t working? If you could change anything, what would you change? Take some time to do an honest assessment of your current situation to get to your starting point.
Know Your Numbers. How many transactions did you get in the past year? How many listings and how many sales? What activities did you do that worked? Where did your business come from? What is your conversion rate of consultations to signed agreements?
Decide Your Goals. Where do you want to be? Identify where you’d like to be both personally and professionally. How many transactions would you like to have in 2023? Total volume? How many hours do you want to work? Do you want to take a nice vacation or maybe start an exercise routine? Document your goals clearly and concisely.
Put Pen to Paper. Define specific actions that can help you close the gap. Make some commitments to action. What prospecting activities will you participate in this year? Do you need to increase your average sales price? How many consultations will you need to attend? Which exercise classes will you take? How many glasses of water will you drink per day? Document these commitments and consider sharing them with an accountability partner.
Commit to Ongoing Education. Don’t forget your learning plan!
