In November, Long & Foster Insurance welcomed Christian Oropeza as vice president of commercial insurance. In an effort to bring greater value to our agents and clients, Oropeza is focusing on developing relationships with commercial carriers, building a supportive sales team and assuring the availability of the best insurance products for all our customers.
Oropeza has been a professional in the property and casualty insurance industry for 12 years, and his experience includes selling insurance products and servicing client accounts, managing teams and processes, and creating and implementing workflows. He prides himself on improving processes within his organization and providing solutions.
From 2015 to 2017, Oropeza served as assistant vice president with an insurance and financial firm, where he also worked as a commercial accounts executive from 2011 to 2013. He held the position of commercial accounts manager at a firm specializing in international insurance from 2013 to 2015. Oropeza began his career in insurance as a commercial account executive in 2005. Oropeza became licensed in property and casualty insurance, as well as life and health insurance, in 2005. He is a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and an Associate in Risk Management.
A native of Northern Virginia, Oropeza resides in Gainesville, Virginia, with his wife. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
