We’re more than halfway through 2017, and it’s been a busy year at all our Long & Foster companies. Although inventory has been down across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, our sales have held steady with last year’s results. These achievements have helped us to earn numerous honors across our business lines.
LongandFoster.com Celebrates One-Year Anniversary
About a year ago, we launched the new LongandFoster.com. In the time since, we’ve received great response to the site from our agents, employees and the public.
Not only have more and more consumers been shopping for homes on LongandFoster.com, but also we’re getting even more traffic to our site from major search engines like Google. We’re also seeing a majority of our visitors browsing LongandFoster.com on their mobile devices. Here are a few of the key accomplishments of the site during the past year.
- No. 1: Ranked as the fastest growing real estate website amongst large brokerages (read more about the achievement here)
- 5.4 Million: Unique individuals who visited our site—that’s an increase of 116 percent from the same period on the old website
- 25.8 Million: Number of pages viewed on the new responsive website, which is optimized for any device—laptop, desktop, tablet and smartphone
- 270K+: Times that consumers searched for a Long & Foster real estate agent or office on our website
- 360K+: Number of views of our agent profile pages—these are the standalone pages that highlight our agents, their current listings and their past sales
What’s next?
We’re continuing to refine and improve our website, and we’re diligently working to launch our new agent sites and our new luxury site. The new agent websites are set to arrive before the end of the year, so stay tuned for more information.
Christie’s Names Long & Foster as Affiliate of the Year
Christie’s International Real Estate awarded Long & Foster Real Estate with its highest network honor in April 2017. Christie’s named Long & Foster as its Affiliate of the Year in the highly competitive Large Market category. The prestigious award recognizes Long & Foster’s excellence in marketing luxury residential properties, our contributions to the Christie’s global network and our ongoing collaboration with Christie’s. Long & Foster Appoints New Senior Vice President in Southern Virginia
Long & Foster Real Estate named Brian Haug, a mortgage and real estate professional with over 15 years of experience, as our senior vice president of real estate and mortgage for Southern Virginia. Haug will oversee operations of Long & Foster’s Richmond, Hampton Roads and Southwest Virginia regions.
In this role, Haug will manage the nearly 45 Long & Foster offices and around 1,300 Long & Foster agents throughout Southern Virginia. He will work closely with the company’s regional and office leadership, determining the best marketing, technology and operational programs to grow the business and the brand. Long & Foster Real Estate once again topped the lists of the area’s residential real estate firms in the Baltimore Business Journal and the Washington Business Journal. Prosperity Now Open for Business in Detroit, Michigan
Prosperity Home Mortgage, a full-service mortgage lender that’s part of The Long & Foster Companies, is continuing to grow its business across the United States. This spring, the company began operating in the Detroit, Michigan, area. Just a few weeks later, the Prosperity team closed its first residential Detroit home loan on June 16 for Anthony and Lana Sellors. Prosperity Honored Among Best in Nation & Nation’s Capital
Mortgage Executive Magazine ranked Prosperity Home Mortgage as one of the best mortgage companies in the nation. The publication spotlights the country’s leading lenders in its annual list of the Top 100 Mortgage Companies in America, and Prosperity earned a position in the top 50. In addition, Prosperity earned 7th place on the Washington Business Journal’s annual list of the top home mortgage lenders in the local Washington, D.C., market. The list ranks companies within the region by their 2016 metro-area lending volume.
Vacation Rentals Grows in Annapolis
Long & Foster Vacation Rentals has acquired Annapolis Accommodations, a vacation and home rental firm in Annapolis, Maryland. The partnership enables Long & Foster to grow our presence in the popular Eastern Shore market and align with one of the Annapolis area’s leading vacation rental firms.
