Long & Foster’s many offices celebrated the company’s 21st annual Community Service Day in early June. Agents and employees volunteered at to support local schools, food pantries, nonprofit organizations, animal shelters and much more. Here are some highlights from this year’s Community Service Day projects.
Agents from Long & Foster’s Hampton Roads area real estate offices took part volunteering at the United Service Organization (USO) Warrior Week event. Mortgage consultants from Prosperity Home Mortgage LLC joined them.
Agents from the Long & Foster Alexandria/Kingstowne Center Sales office collected food, supplies and donations for a local animal shelter.
The team at Long & Foster Bel Air: Harford County Real Estate helped complete various maintenance tasks at the Historic Jerusalem Mill Village.
The agents from Long & Foster Leesburg, Purcellville Gateway Long & Foster & Christie’s International Real Estate and Middleburg, VA Long & Foster Real Estate volunteered with Women Giving Back, an organization that helps women and children in crisis.
Long & Foster Real Estate Ocean City Maryland volunteered with Clean Beach OC on June 5. The day started with an hour of beach yoga (taught by Long and Foster agent Imad Elali) before they took to the sand to clean the beach.
Our Long & Foster Ridley Office held a free community shredding event, accompanied by a food and baked goods sale to benefit the American Heart Association.
Agents from our Long & Foster Williamsburg office volunteered with the Mobile Food Pantry helping to distribute food at the Williamsburg House of Mercy. They also worked with Williamsburg’s Housing Partnership to paint a home in Forest Glen.
A check donation ceremony was held at the Ellicott City office. Long & Foster and Prosperity Home Mortgage donated a total of $10,000 to the Ellicott City Partnership.
The agents at our Long & Foster of Washington DC and Montgomery County, MD, offices gave Savoy Elementary a makeover. They painted, decorated and assembled all day to create new spaces to foster students’ learning. (Credit: Rachel Fraga)
The Long & Foster Realtors – Culpeper Office collected boxes of breakfast cereal from May 1 to June 5 for the Culpeper Food Closet. The cereal will help provide breakfast for children during the summer months who would otherwise receive it at school.
Agents at the Long & Foster Eldersburg, MD, office collected donations to help fill the South Carroll Food Pantry.
Agents from Long & Foster’s Prince Frederick, MD, office chose to volunteer with the Chesapeake Stars & Stripes Festival on May 27, which honors our fallen heroes and raises funds for wounded warriors while providing a day of free family fun.
The Long & Foster Coastal Virginia office got together to assemble Smile Bags at Operation Smile’s headquarters.
Agents at our Long & Foster Real Estate – Triad Office gathered to volunteer at the SECU Family House, which provides affordable lodging and support services in a caring environment for referred adult patients and their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem for medical treatment.
Our Long & Foster Westham agents chose to volunteer with The Little Sisters of the Poor, an assisted living facility.
Employees at Long & Foster’s headquarters played games to raise money for the American Heart Association. They also collected donations for Cornerstones, a nonprofit that helps combat homelessness and much more.
