Luxury Homes Magazine Brings Panache to the Marketing Mix

Long & Foster | Christie’s Luxury Homes magazine is having a banner year, with a successful advertising program for agents, a prestigious business award and a summer issue that’s perfect for reading poolside.

The publication reaches an audience to be envied by anyone working in luxury real estate. Three times annually, it is distributed to 120,000 subscribers of The Wall Street Journal, along with subsequent direct delivery to homeowners across key luxury markets. It reaches a vast number of affluent international buyers through Long & Foster’s affiliation with Christie’s and its global network.

Every issue provides agents opportunities to feature their luxury listings, with color photography, property descriptions and contact information, with the digital version linking to agents’ and properties’ websites. Articles about design, travel, food, entertainment and culture aim to draw in discerning readers.

Agent Anthony Corrao, who leads a real estate team based in Columbia, Maryland, said he’s winning listings by showing potential clients the ads he has purchased as part of Long & Foster’s marketing programs, including Luxury Homes, Mansion Global and others.

“We are up three-fold in our luxury listings,” Corrao said. “We are growing our luxury portfolio significantly. When we go on listing appointments, and I’m sharing these materials, it’s creating a ‘wow’ factor. Clients want to be exclusive. They want to know they are getting something special for their money.”

Produced entirely in-house by Long & Foster’s marketing department, Luxury Homes earned recognition this year from the prestigious American Business Awards. The spring issue was awarded the SILVER STEVIE® for best print publication. Judges called it a “beautiful prestige publication” with “sophisticated layout and incredible photos as one would expect from L&F and Christie’s.”

So pick up the summer issue before heading to the pool, and read all about real estate investing in an interview with Boomer Foster and Gary Scott, general brokerage presidents. Plan your trip to Virginia’s wine country with recommendations from one of the best restauranteurs and wine experts in the region, and find out which luxury boats would be great for cruising the Chesapeake Bay. Or just flip through the pages and daydream about the gorgeous homes for sale.
