LongandFoster.com has recently introduced several innovations aimed at drawing in more traffic and helping more prospective clients find our agents.
What’s Your Home Worth?
One new feature helps potential home sellers and buyers figure out how much a property might be worth. The Long & Foster home value estimator not only gives visitors information about a home’s potential value, but also helps them connect with an agent, because no algorithm can beat a competitive market analysis by an experienced Long & Foster associate who knows the local area.
Here’s how the new feature works: Visitors go to LongandFoster.com and from the menu, choose the option for “What’s My Home Worth?” They can also find the “Home Value Estimator” under Quick Links at the bottom of the home page.
Once they click the link, they can enter addresses of most residential properties in the company’s footprint to see estimated value ranges from Zillow, Market Trends and Quantarium. The three estimates usually vary greatly. Beneath the valuations is text that urges the visitor to contact a Long & Foster agent to receive a more precise figure based on the home’s location and condition. There’s also a button that leads to a form the visitor can submit to have an agent get in touch.
Turning Text Into Speech
Another recent addition to the website makes home descriptions available for home shoppers to hear in English or Spanish. The feature can be accessed below the written descriptions on active listings.
Property Descriptions in Almost Any Language
A third improvement added Google Translate to every page on LongandFoster.com. To use it, scroll down to the bottom right corner of any page and click “Select Language.” You’ll see a pop-up menu of around 100 languages, from Afrikaans to Zulu. Once you click on a language, the site will be instantly translated. You can undo the translation by clicking the “X” in the upper right corner.
