Prosperity’s Rapid Close program allows clients to sign most closing documents electronically
In this time of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the need for virtual real estate transactions is important to keep our clients, employees and agents safe. That’s why Prosperity Home Mortgage recently partnered with Notarize, a company that specializes in digital closings. Prosperity’s Rapid Close program allows most of the closing documents to be signed electronically, so clients spend less time face-to-face with the settlement officer at the title company.
Who is Notarize?
- They are Prosperity’s technology platform for Rapid Close transactions. The Notarize platform is where your clients will securely access their closing documents.
What is Rapid Close?
- Rapid Close delivers a seamless signing experience by allowing your clients to electronically sign most of their closing documents before closing, leaving only the documents needing notarization to be signed with the title company in-person.
How does the Rapid Close program work for my clients?
- Get an Invitation: An email with the closing package will be sent prior to your clients’ closing date.
- Review Documents: After a quick account set-up, your clients will be able to review all loan documents before closing.
- eSign Documents: On the day of closing, your clients will be able to electronically sign most of the documents prior to their in-person settlement meeting.
- Documents Sent: Electronic documents are shared with the mortgage consultant and all necessary parties.
- In-Person Meeting: Your clients sign the remainder of the documents and complete the closing in-person.
How does Notarize protect confidential information?
- Information is transmitted and stored using industry-best data security practices, user communications are encrypted, and documents are protected and tracked using an audit trail.
