Acquistion expands Tailored Move’s service offerings, geographic markets
Tailored Move, Long & Foster’s own moving business, has expanded its operations. In early 2022, the company announced that it had acquired Joe Moholland Moving Companies (JMM), a Virginia-based full-service moving business. JMM operates local, national and international moving services through its continental fleet and agent network.
How the acquisition benefits Long & Foster’s agents
Geographic expansion. The acquisition increases Tailored Move’s overall capacity to serve all of Virginia, Maryland and D.C., and it enables the company to expand its geography in the future, even better supporting Long & Foster’s agents and clients.
Competitive pricing and exceptional service. Partnering with JMM allows Tailored Move to offer more competitive pricing while maintaining the same high quality of service our agents and customers expect and deserve.
In-office support. Tailored Move will be able to add in-office support teams, making it even easier to schedule a move for your clients.
“Acquiring JMM and expanding our Tailored Move operations is another example of Long & Foster’s commitment to providing an all-inclusive approach to your clients through LF1,” said Brian Schuckalo, president of Tailored Move and Chief New Business Ventures Officer at The Long & Foster Companies. “Buying, selling, renting and/or owning a home with Long & Foster is a seamless and coordinated process, thanks to our family of companies working together as one team for you and your clients.”
